Exchange: Life in Montreal Part 3

Today's post will be on the food we cooked! My cooking skills have definitely improved (but still not fantastic for sure hahaha) since I came to Montreal. Back in S'pore, I think the total no. of times I've actually cooked a proper meal in my whole life is less than 15 times? LOL. Yeah, I always da-pao, dine out or just eat the food my maid cooks lols. #sonotdomesticated

Ok first meal we whipped up upon arrival. Aglio olio with hot dogs and mushrooms! We cooked this for like every meal for the first week heh heh heh.

Even our eggs were fried with hot dogs and mushrooms. #standardingredient #soboring

Ok then we improved! Our emperor's chicken was delicious! ^^ Our guests loved it. But we used the seasoning we brought from S'pore, so a little bit play cheat la hor.

Our very well-plated salad! This was made solely by Jem!

Garlic chilli fish fillet!

Honey garlic pork ribs! Also marinated with some seasoning we bought from the Asian mart heh heh. But kudos to us for cooking the meat well!

My first time cooking chou mien!

Jem likes to make baked teriyaki chicken!

My favourite stir fried oyster vegetables with shrimps!

And of course, how can I miss out my favourite soup? I'm such a fan of spicy food (:

Sushi for the jap food lovers!

My attempt at making char kway teow. Looks better than it tastes LOL.

Lobster! YUM. We love anything seafood. Ok maybe just me (:

Unlike other couples where the girl usually does most of the cooking, Jem and I actually split the workload quite equally! Cos both of us like to cook? Hahaha. But we both don't like to wash the dishes. (:
